Slather this Texas BBQ sauce on ribs, pork chops, steak, burgers, shrimp, you name it. Anything you dip or grill and caramelize on the grill deserves a spoonful of Candy Jalapeno.
Pro tip: Candy Jalapeno BBQ Sauce can also be used like a Jalapeno Pepper Jelly Glaze to create some of the best ribs you’ve ever had. Diluting the sauce down with either water or adding a small amount of corn syrup is all it takes. A good BBQ recipe to try is to start with spare ribs that have been seasoned with our Pork Rub Seasoning. After rub seasoning crust has set from cooking on a smoker (about 4 hours in) and desired mahogany color is achieved, periodically spritz with apple cider vinegar to keep moist. Once bones pull back and ribs are becoming tender, it’s time to wrap in foil and rest with your thinned out pepper jelly glaze. Rest meat side down and place back in the smoker for a shirt time until fully tender. Ribs will have an internal temp around 190-198º. Glaze will then mix and emulsify with the rendered fats from the ribs. Let rest for 45 mins at room temp or till ribs come down to 150°. Cut and serve!
