Sunday, or any leisurely afternoon is a great time to enjoy a classic Bloody Mary. This easy to make cocktail can be enjoyed on just about any occasion and with a little planning it’s the perfect daytime drink with friends. Bloody Marys are as unique as the people who drink them and no two are alike with the variety of ingredients out there. In ours, we make the classic, using great ingredients and then give it a Texas twist.
For this recipe, I consulted a good friend of mine who runs a popular barbecue restaurant out in Wimberley, Texas, which has a full bar. I explained to him that I was looking to create a unique tasting Bloody Mary, which incorporated our Rebel Red BBQ Sauce to give it a smokey, savory, barbecue flavor. His newly appointed general manager, Tina, jumped at the challenge and created the perfect tasting drink on the first try. The recipe below is how she did it. Keep in mind this is for a classic style Bloody Mary with a light smokey BBQ flavor, from here you can build on the recipe adding your own garnish, such as celery sticks, skewered meats, olives, pearl onions, etc. Give it a try and tell us what you think.
