Smoked turkey is one of the most underrated cuts of meats but when done right it can be so incredibly satisfying and a pleasant change from heavier red meats. Growing up in a family that ate a lot of smoked turkey throughout the year we began to inject ours with a mixture of butter and various aromatics, which pushed flavor deep into the meat. Here, we think this recipe for our “Butter Injected Turkey” using our savory “Rebel Red BBQ Sauce” will be a crowd favorite to all who try it. It’s extremely easy to prepare, and it’ll add a significant level of moistness into the breast meat increasing it’s succulence & flavor. Another plus to injecting over brining is if you are short on time, or space in your refrigerator it can be done just minutes before placing your turkey on the smoker, grill or oven. This butter inject is almost fool proof for the beginner that wants to serve a delicious meal.
